Biotin pellets

Biotin pellets are used to balance biotin deficiencies. Their triple formula of biotin, methionine and zinc effectively improve equine skin and horn quality. Horses with biotin deficiencies may experience problems involving hoof and horn growth, elasticity and resilience. A biotin deficiency can also impact coat quality, resulting in scaly coats and skin irritations.
Methionine is a sulphur-bearing amino acid that is important for building connective tissue. The body uses the added methionine to form cysteine, which in turn serves as a building block for keratin. Keratin makes horn firm.
Zinc is important in the regeneration and formation of new skin, hair and horn cells.
